Easy Inspiration Project – Honda Civic – Pete Talbot Photography

Photographing New England is quite easy at times because of its charm and inherent beauty. Then to have a Berlin City request a shoot with such a eye-catching car, it became even more interesting. I love photographing a subject. Especially in dramatic sunlight; sunrise, sunset, etc. Honda’s slogan, “The Power of Dreams” made me search within myself for a shoot with meaning. I wanted each photo to tell a story. I didn’t just want to shoot the car as is, I wanted each image to be inspired by that slogan. Seeing the car in rural and coastal Maine just seemed natural and I was inspired to capture both the beauty of Maine as well as the appeal of the bright red Honda Civic. Not to mention, that car was pretty great! I was amazed that the gas mileage seemed to go on and on, and how easy it was for me to sync my phone and listen to music through such a clear sound system. Automobile innovation has come so far even in the 20 years that I’ve been driving a car, but it’s cool to see Honda taking advantage of that innovation and creating a car that solves the issues of the every day commuter.

Pete is a proud native of New England. A self-taught photographer seeking to capture nature in dramatic light.“I often think that the night is more alive and more richly colored than the day.” -Vincent Van Gogh

I believe that photography should not just be a visual stimulation, but should also move us at a much deeper and inner level. Influenced by good music and great coffee.
